New Year, New You

News Flash!  Visit to doctor indicates that I need to lose 10 pound!!!   I visited my primary doctor last week with my “laundry list” of things I wanted to talk about health-wise and I won’t go into the gritty details but he mentioned that I could benefit from losing 10 pounds.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been 10 pounds lighter
and I am almost wondering if it is possible.

My husband has been strongly encouraging a healthier diet.  My downfall is that I like meat and dairy.  I grew up on a dairy farm for Pete’s sake! 

Excuses, excuses, excuses!  Shees!  Here’s the deal.  I am going to watch what I eat.  I am going to do a combination of the Mediterranean diet, the DASH diet with a splash of  Paleo.  Yes, I know it doesn’t make sense regarding the Paleo diet but I do believe that if we get the essential fats that we need we will be less likely to load up on sugar and junk food.

On weekends we are allowed to be more liberal.
